Mallard delivers for our clients through a permanently employed team and a wide associate network. ### Operations Consultant PERMANENT / ASSOCIATE What you’ll do You’ll diagnose operational bottlenecks across founder-led client businesses, mapping current states and using our proprietary operational models to identifying opportunities for improvement. You will design and implement business operating systems for scale-up clients, building seamless integration across people, practices and technology. You will also own delivery of specific operational change projects, documenting systems and translating messy operations into clear, actionable insights. **You’re a fit** for Mallard if: - You’ve been an operator on the inside, not just an advisor or consultant - You’re obsessed with how work actually flows through a business, seeing patterns where others see noise - You’ve worked in high-growth environments and know what breaks at scale - You can happily walk into chaos and translate messy operations into clear, actionable ways of working - You’ve built systems that actually get used in practice (not only living in Notion) ### Fractional COO ASSOCIATE What you’ll do You’ll embed as senior operational leadership inside client businesses, designing and implementing business operating systems across people, practices and technology. You will partner with founders to eliminate dependency by building capability in leadership teams and the wider business. You will take responsibility for leading Mallard engagements across all service types, creating the structure and systems that allow businesses to scale without their founder becoming the bottleneck. **You’re a fit** for Mallard if: - You’ve been an MD, COO, Operations Director or senior operator in a scale-up business – the role title is less important than the integrator mindset - You’ve navigated the messy reality of integrating people, practices, and tech at scale - You’ve built effective teams, systems and structure in high-growth environments - You can empathise and work effectively with different types of founders - You can be an effective thought and delivery partner to founders in rapid growth businesses. - You have experience of fractional working ## What you’ll get **Operator realism, not motivational hype.** Mallard doesn’t do start-up hustle culture.
